An Age featuring the characteristics of prehistoric times.
Very simple dwellings can be seen, and occasionally freakishly
large clay wares and idols appear. The entire area appears to be
slowly decaying, swept by a relentless sandy wind.
Soon, the entire area looks like it will sink beneath the sands.
An Age featuring the characteristics of the Nara and Heian eras. The entire area is permanently bathed in a golden evening glow. Giant petrified lotus plants can be seen throughout, dripping water from their leaves. While the buildings suggest an atmosphere of opulence, there is also a feeling of atrophy and ruin, and no sign of life.
An Age featuring the characteristics of the Kamakura and
Muromachi eras. The entire area is suffused with a deep, still,
mystical silence. Plant growth has been stimulated somehow,
so that the buildings of the samurai are now overrun with
vines and leaves, and swallowed up by the forest.
An Age featuring the characteristics of the Sengoku era. The entire area is bathed in the ominous red glow of battle fire. Volcanic activity is prominent throughout, and lava flows have scarred the terrain. The buildings appear to have suffered serious structural damage, but whether this is due to war or Oni attacks is unclear.
An Age featuring the characteristics of the Edo era.
Night never ends in this chimerical castle town, where cherry
trees blossom and petals fall like delicate snow. No people can
be seen in their houses, and the whole area is enveloped in
a profound silence.
